I have been in the Palm Bay Real Estate Market since 1984, so I have a long history and a unique perspective on the market. For years the prices were low as we have over 73,000 lots in the Port Malabar units so there are always plenty of lots on the market to choose from. Beginning in 2001, the lot market experienced an unusual boom in sales and investor-inflated prices. The prices shot up from an average of $5,000 to over $50,000! A lot of people made money during the boom, but unfortunately, people also lost money when the market unexpectedly crashed in 2005. The prices dropped back down to pre-boom values, but have now rebounded to a reasonable market value. Many builders who left the Palm Bay market after the crash have now returned and we are definitely full swing into the building market once again! This makes it an excellent time to free up your cash while the market is active.
